cancellation is always a matter for your own travel and cancellation insurance, which must be arranged with your insurance company.
Weather conditions:
cancellation due to bad weather is not possible.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Six weeks before your arrival date, you will receive personalized travel information for each day.

On the first day of the tour, you are expected at Camping Zee van Tijd in Holwerd (you can check in between 15:00 and 18:00. If you arrive after 18:00, please let the reception know. The latest check-in time is 20:00).
The first travel day starts the next morning. Use your personalized route (found in the information package sent to you) and the address of the next campsite.
On the last travel day, you’ll drive back to Camping Zee van Tijd where you started your tour, and where your car is parked. The tour ends by 11:00 AM.

OVERNIGHT LOCATIONS
All the overnight locations along the Elfstedentocht route have been personally inspected and selected by us. These campsites are located directly along the Elfstedentocht route and are an integral part of the Friesland Holland Travel network.

Arrival and Departure

Six weeks before your arrival date, you will receive personalized travel information for each day.

• On the first day, you are expected at Camping Zee van Tijd (between 15:00-18:00, let the reception know if you arrive after 18:00, the latest check-in time is 20:00).

• You will start your first camper journey the following day. Use your personal route description for the route and the address of the next overnight location.

• On the last day, you will drive back to Camping Zee van Tijd (where you started the tour, and where your car is parked). The tour ends by 11:00 AM.

The Fine Print:

What are the requirements for the driver, and are additional drivers allowed?
We allow up to 2 drivers, with a minimum age of 30 years. All of our campers weigh less than 3500 kg and can be driven with a B driver’s license.

What about insurance?
The camper is fully insured with Aveco. Aveco specializes in insuring campers and ensures you are well covered. You are insured for damage and accidents, and you can count on 24/7 roadside assistance across Europe. There is an excess of 1000 euros, and any damages will be deducted from this amount first.

Is there a mileage limit?
You can drive unlimited kilometers.

What is included, and what should I bring?

We rent the camper with a fully equipped interior:

Enough gas to cook every day
Full water tanks with fresh drinking water
Plates, cutlery, pots, coasters, glasses, a percolator, and other kitchen essentials like a cheese slicer, corkscrew, can opener, and knives
A double duvet and 2 pillows per bed
Comfortable chairs and a handy outdoor table
CEE camping power adapter and a 10-meter extension cord
Cleaning supplies
Made-up beds

What happens in case of damage, theft, an accident, or breakdown?

For emergency/breakdown cases with rental campers, we are always available. Even after hours and on weekends. Feel free to send us a WhatsApp message or call us at +31 6 20 58 10 98.

To be clear: we maintain our campers very well, and they are brand new, so the chances of a breakdown during your holiday are very small. However, if you do break down, make sure the vehicle is in a safe location, and if that’s not possible, call 112. Then, contact the emergency center of Aveco Insurance’s breakdown service. The emergency center number is: 020 5929 197.

Had an accident? In that case, you should also call the emergency center. They will ensure that roadside assistance arrives as soon as possible. If the camper cannot be repaired quickly, the emergency center will arrange replacement transportation for you. Of course, you should also contact us immediately.

You have an excess of €1000 for the camper. For your own belongings, you need to arrange your own travel insurance.

Before the rental, you will need to sign the damage report for the exterior of the camper. This is to avoid misunderstandings later on.

What am I not allowed to do, or where am I not allowed to go with the rental camper?

You are not allowed to take the camper to music festivals
You cannot sublet the camper
These campers are not intended for off-road driving, so stay on paved roads!

Can I bring my pet?
No, pets are not allowed in the camper.
