We booked our cycling vacation Elfstedentocht through Sytze of Friesland Holland Travel.
From the beginning I had tremendous fun contact with Sytze. What was special about our cycling vacation was that Agmaja was going to do the tour by handbike. Margret with a rented e-bike. Agmaja is wheelchair-dependent so that has to be taken into account. Fortunately a small staircase is not a problem, (strong arms) so we entered each hotel in no time. How fantastically everything was arranged, the suitcases to the next hotel, lovely quiet rooms in beautiful surroundings, good breakfast, extensive high-quality dinner. How beautiful Friesland is and how sweet and helpful the people are. Many kilometers in the arms and legs (including extra day Ameland which we had booked, no less than 336km.). Three days of beautiful weather, three days of much storm and rain but that didn’t spoil the fun. As Sytze said, “In Friesland it is always nice weather!” and that is true, it is what you make of it yourself.
