A crown symbolizes the strong connection between the 52 villages of Noardeast-Frysl\u00e2n and the city of Dokkum. The interlinked Frisian <em data-start=\"557\" data-end=\"570\">pompebl\u00eaden<\/em> together form a powerful and royal whole, expressing both history and a sense of unity.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"660\" data-end=\"1013\">Below the crown, three curved lines represent the surrounding landscape: the land along the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.waddensea-worldheritage.org\/nl\">Wadden Sea<\/a> with the horizon beyond. The primary color of the design is orange, complemented by variations in white and <a href=\"https:\/\/dokkum.nl\/\">Dokkum<\/a> blue.
